After a hugely successful visit to Wildwood Escot last year we decided to return there last weekend. I was a little apprehensive as the weather forecast beforehand was warning of heavy rain storms and thunder.
We set off under darkened skies and some 6 miles before we arrived the skies turned black and it started raining and a couple of rumbles of thunder. However, it turned out to be just a light shower and not a portend of the whole day as it had stopped by the time we got there (by the afternoon we did get some glorious sunshine).
The children again thoroughly enjoyed themselves, although I think that they were more impressed by the giant slide, the maze and the children’s play area than the animals – although the birds of prey flying exhibition did produce some gasps.
